General #1 "Cheeseburger in Paradise"

If you stayed in the Bay Area heat last weekend and missed the First Splash Outing - I'm so sorry! Don't make the same mistake again!
Our next outing is coming up May 30 - June 1. Its a General, so No Costumes and No Event Fees. But we still have to eat GREAT, so I'm organizing a Pot Luck and Burger Bar. I'll have a sign up sheet for the Pot Luck at the Sign Up meeting on Tuesday May 27 (the day after Memorial Day). If you want to sign up for bringing your favorite dish early, just drop me an email at eringobraugh1@sbcglobal.net.
The categories are:
- Burgers (beef or turkey patties, the necessities [ketchup/mustard/buns/tomato/lettuce], or Burger Bar fixins' like great cheese, bacon, avocado, chili, mushrooms, pineapple, BBQ sauce - you name it!)
- Appetizers
- Sides
- Desserts
Oh, did I mention the water in Horseshoe Bend was 80 DEGREES on Sunday??!! You can leave your wetsuit at home, just don't forget your sunscreen! (Take a look at the attached picture of sunburns from First Splash '08 if you have trouble believing me!)
Lastly, we had a great turnout of new folks (8!) at First Splash. Newbies, this is the best time of year to come try out the club and meet other members. I think all of last week's newbies are coming back for Cheeseburger in Paradise, and we're all looking forward to welcoming some more new faces in F Loop!
